Royal Easter Show app designers aim for 100,000 downloads
The creators of this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show app hope to break more than 100,000 downloads after making it available on both iPhone and Android.
SmartLife Technologies, a sister company to creative agency SoDUS, created the app, which includes a list of more than 1300 events.
Managing director Mark Warton said the app will store data on the phone, rather than on a server, to deal with the crowd demand on the day.
“All the data is cached in the phone, not on an external server, so no matter how many people access the pp at the same time, we’re not going to have a ‘Click Frenzy situation’ where we start crashing servers,” he said.
