Sarah James to lead Dentsu Aegis Network’s bespoke agency for Woolworths
Carat’s chief digital officer Sarah James will relocate from Melbourne to Sydney to head up Dentsu Aegis Network’s bespoke Woolworths@DAN agency.
As part of the shuffle, Brendon Cropper, currently Carat’s chief data and customer experience officer, will take on the agency’s digital responsibilities, previously fulfilled by James.
Woolworths@DAN will be based in Sydney and will source talent from the network’s agencies including Carat, Amplifi, Amnet, iProspect, Columbus and Posterscope.
James joined Dentsu Aegis Network in 2011 from Mediacom in New York, with the company crediting her with being the driving force behind the digital transformation of the business.
Simon Ryan, CEO of the group added: “Sarah is an exceptional leader with extensive digital and marketing experience across Carat, here and overseas. Her leadership of high-performing teams, alongside her digital transformation expertise make her the perfect choice to lead the evolution of our partnership with Woolworths Group.”
So a collection of people from other agencies on other accounts pretending they’re servicing Wollies fulltime. What a great business model.
