Say no to ‘radical’ sex and gender programs, says Coalition for Marriage
The Coalition for Marriage has launched another two advertisements, arguing parents need to say no to “radical sex and gender programs” in schools, as kids are under the age of consent.
It comes three weeks after the first ad from the Coalition for Marriage, which claimed parents will lose their rights to make decisions about their children should the ‘Yes’ campaign win.
The latest ad, dubbed ‘The Gender Fairy’ after Jo Hirst’s novel, is backed by sombre music once again, this time with two women arguing schools should not offer ‘radical gender and sex programs’ to children.
Um. What does school education policy have to do with the legal right of people to marry whomever they choose?
Why are you promoting this?
I wonder what the other clients of Frontier media think about them booking these ads?
Conflating the vote on same sex marriage with radical sex programs in schools and the removal of parental rights is disgraceful. By running this campaign and taking this approach the agency and all associated have made their ethics clear, and the are not something I personally wish to have anything to do with.
I’ll be voting No to the agency (and associated brands) of the no campaign particularly when allocating spend in the future.
What does this have to do with equal marriage rights for all Australians? What is taught in school is optional. All schools who use the program choose what they want to teach. I doubt any of what these videos show is even being suggested in schools. Teachers have a duty of care – they wouldn’t teach things that are not appropriate for the age of any child. Even suggesting it is ridiculous
So you’ll boycott the agency and the associated brands. You sound exactly like the bigots and bullies that you claim to oppose. And you talk of ethics. Please.
I have no objection to same sex marriage. And you are right. This mob beat up has been going on for centuries. They scrape the barrel on a child abuse, religious, political platforms. Their ads show they can’t actually find a valid reason. Me, my wife ( supported by my children) will say yes as there is no reason to say no
Surprised they didn’t add animal cruelty or caged
Chooks.
Wait, wait, wait…….. it’s because same sex people support Collingwood.
Maybe not
Children have to believe what is said to them. They are not in a position to understand or choose. They often just say o.k. to things because they want peace.
nothing.
The “Yes” vote marchers conflated the issues themselves, by putting both those terms on the one banner when marching.
Ditto “Socialist Alternative”, “Socialist Alliance” et al, on their social media.
Ditto teachers of Year 7 students in Victoria (posters, notice boards, and classroom comments).
Ditto the activists and politicians in the UK and various US states.
Ditto organisations such as International Planned Parenthood Fund which lobbies the UN and uses financial blackmail in an attempt to gain leverage for mega-bucks (i.e. billions of dollars worth of deals for itself).
Look at the countries that have implemented SSM legislation – the consequences are on record. As are the number of Western countries that uphold civil partnerships but reject redefining marriage.
It might not just be marriage, it might also be referring to kids being taught to ignore what their doctor says what sex they are and to believe what they think they are (e.g a boy thinks he’s a girl and still wants to keep all of the physical traits he’s born with) by crazy teachers. I agree with same sex marriage, I don’t agree with people promoting that notion of gender identity. It makes it hard for people to take us ACTUAL trans people seriously when society tells body confident people that “oh, you can be trans WITHOUT transitioning!”
