SBS and Nine’s online news audiences rise in October

SBS and nine.com.au each saw a substantial rise in their online news audiences in October, while Yahoo and The Guardian took minor tumbles.

This is according to the monthly Ipsos iris ranking report, which extrapolates the reading habits from 8,000 devices to achieve a national representation. The October numbers show that ABC News has continued its winning streak for 2025, with 12.77m readers flocking to the site for the month. ABC has been the country’s most-read local news-site every month this year.
