SBS appoints commissioning editor, documentaries

SBS has appointed Joseph Maxwell as commissioning editor of documentaries, Joseph Maxwell. Maxwell runs his own production company, with titles Around the in 90 Minutes and 9/11 the Fireman’s Story.

SBS appoints new Commissioning Editor
SBS has appointed Joseph Maxwell as Commissioning Editor, Documentaries. Joseph will look after SBS’s science and history documentary portfolio and will report to Senior Commissioning Editor, Documentaries, John Godfrey.

Godfrey said, “I’m delighted to welcome Joseph to the SBS commissioning team. He is a highly experienced and talented documentary producer who has spent the past ten years in the UK making specialist factual documentaries for Channel 4, the BBC and the Discovery Channel. We can now look towards 2012 to continue to build on SBS’s position as the leading broadcaster of powerful and provocative documentaries in Australia.”
