SBS launches online forum and TV debate on ethnic diversity

SBS has launched a new portal to be followed by a televised forum about ethnic diversity in Australia.

SBS CQ: Cultural Intelligence will engage media commentators, politicians and community advocates for a discussion on whether the media is friend or foe of diversity in Australia.

Michael Ebeid, managing editor of SBS said: “SBS is the catalyst for the national discussion about diversity and SBS CQ will become a conversation series as well as a permanent resource.”

Commentators include former immigration minister Amanda Vanstone, Daily Telegraph journalist Joe Hildebrand, psychiatrist and journalist Tanveer Ahmed and university professor Andrew Markus.
