Screen Australia announce three million in Enterprise Program funding

The third round of annual funding from Screen Australia for its Enterprise Program was announced today, providing $3 million to production companies and screen businesses.

The program in the first two rounds supplied 17 companies with over $12 million to support the development and expansion of businesses.

The deadline for applications is COB on Monday 8 August. Guidelines and application details can be found at Screen Australia.

“Enhanced capacity through Enterprise funding has enabled company producers to recruit key creative and managerial personnel to oversee development and production,” said Screen Australia’s Chief Executive Ruth Harley in a statment. “As a result projects in development have accelerated, particularly in the factual area with six of the 12 first-round companies reporting a total of 115 projects in development in 2009/10. This is anticipated to flow through to increased production levels.”
