Screen Australia asks games sector for input over Interactive Games Fund

Screen Australia is seeking input from the Games sector as it begins to administer the $20m Interactive Games Fund handed down by arts minister Simon Crean on Novemner 15.

The screen agency will hold public forums in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane throughout Mid December as well as a webinar on Tuesday 18 December to discuss and comment on an options paper.

In its capacity as the Federal Government’s key agency for providing support to the screen production sector, Screen Australia has been charged with administering the new $20 million Interactive Games Fund to help build a sustainable base for the Australian interactive entertainment industry. The agency will develop funding guidelines in consultation with the games sector to develop the best possible funding program.
