Screen Australia chair to head Convergence Review Committee
The chair of the Screen Australia board Glen Boreham will also chair the Convergence Review Committee that will take a comprehensive look at the country’s communications and media regulation.
“Mr Boreham brings considerable knowledge and experience in technology and communications. I am confident he will be able to steer the Committee through the many complex issues involved in this Review,” said Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Stephen Conroy.
Boreham is a former managing director of IBM Australia, and is also a member of the Information Technology Industry Innovation Council. He was also a part-time member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority and before that the Australian Broadcasting Authority.
Boreham joins Malcolm Long in the three-person committee; the final member is yet to be announced.
