Screen Australia hosts Digital Ignition clinic
As part of Screen Australia’s All Media initiative, the Digital Ignition Multi-Platform Clinic is a five-day workshop for content makers to refine an existing project.
With guidance by Gary Hayes, founder of StoryLabs, a transmedia collective with offices in Australia, UK, Canada and the US, the workshop will focus on the deeper potential of multi-platform storytelling. It aims to assist screenwriters, digital creators and game developers to go beyond basic narrative extensions such as webisodes, facebook and twitter updates.
Over the five days, participants will build a ‘story production bible‘, enabling them to take a project across relevant platforms to build and sustain an audience.
Screen Australia Investment Manager Mike Cowap said in a statement, “The Digital Ignition Multi-platform Clinic falls within the suite of support offered through our All Media Program, which seeks to ignite and strengthen digital understanding, expertise and activity within the Australian screen content sector. We’re thrilled to be working with Gary and his StoryLabs network to make this as rich and practical a workshop as possible.”
