Screen Australia launches consumer-facing app
Screen Australia has launched a new app called Are You Buff Enough? with the aim get Australians talking about the local screen achievements. The free movie and TV trivia app is available across iPhone, Android, Facebook and online and has over 4000 questions on it.

Screen Australia today announced the launch of a new social media campaign, Are You Buff Enough?, which aims to promote local content, to engage with film and television audiences and to build a community of Australian screen fans.
Are You Buff Enough? is a free movie and TV trivia quiz App available across iPhone, Android, Facebook and online, which will enable Australians to test how well they know local film and TV content.
Participants can compete with each other on a series of rapid-fire questions based around local talent, film and TV shows, as well as questions on Aussies in international productions. Upcoming releases will be promoted and fans will be rewarded for sharing trailers, clips and images and encouraged to review their favourite Australian films and TV programs.
During the launch period of Are You Buff Enough? registered participants will be given the chance to win a series of great prizes – including a home entertainment system, a year’s supply of movie tickets, cinema cash vouchers, double movie passes and loads of DVDs.
With over 4,000 questions – new ones will be added weekly – Are You Buff Enough? is a truly unique interactive Australian film and television quiz.

Screen Australia has worked with one of the country’s leading digital agencies, Soap Creative, to develop the campaign. Soap Creative has extensive experience in creating online games and social media tools including award-winning campaigns for 20th Century Fox, Roadshow Films and FOXTEL.

Players who join the ‘Buff Enough VIP Club’ will receive special offers including invitations to sneak previews of new films.
A social media campaign will support the launch of the App and a 20-second in-cinema spot will screen in cinemas from today.
