Sea FM wins Gold Coast radio ratings
Sea FM has claimed the number one spot in the Gold Coast radio ratings, according to figures released by Nielsen.
The station jumped from third to first place, eclipsing GoldFM, the previous number one, and Hot Tomato, previously second.
Sea FM secure pole with an audience share of 16.7% overall.
Nova 106.9 took 2.6% – up by just 0.2% – while FM104 Triple M struggled with a 1.2% share overall.
B105 claimed just 0.9%.
Southern Cross Austereo’s Sea FM, an affiliate of the Today Network, won in breakfast with a 17.1 per cent share courtesy of Kyle and Jackie O Drive.
This was followed by Richard Bridge and Spida on Gold FM with 16.5% share and Holmsey and Flan on Hot Tomato with 15.5%.
A win for Sea FM in the drive slot with Hamish and Andy saw a ratings jump from 16.3% in the previous survey, when it trailed behind Mal and Luke on Hot Tomato, to 17.7%.
Sea FM also performed well in the evening slot – up 6.4% to 17.7% share. Peter Carter’s Requestfest on Hot Tomato was the nearest contender with 10.7% share.
