Seek taps World Vision for marketing director role

Online employment marketplace, Seek has appointed former World Vision chief marketing officer Maryanne Tsiatsias, as new new marketing director for Australia and New Zealand.

In her new role, Tsiatsias will report into Seek’s managing director for the region, Kendra Banks, and will be responsible for leading the company’s marketing across Australia and New Zealand.  Seek recently appointed former Commonwealth Bank of Australia CEO, Ian Narev, as its new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO), replacing Andrew Bassat who stepped down as of 1 July.

Tsiatsias was CMO at World Vision for just over 18 months. Prior to this, she spent 16 years at Telstra in a number of senior executive positions across marketing, products and operations. Tsiatsias also had a short stint as head of brand as AIA between the two roles.

In response to her departure, and a potential replacement, a World Vision spokesperson said: “World Vision Australia has appointed an acting CMO, Scott McLaughlin, and will soon be starting a recruitment process to fill the role permanently.”
