Seven axes The Daily Edition, citing economic pressures

Seven’s afternoon news program The Daily Edition will cease production this Friday.

The network’s director of news and public affairs, Craig McPherson, said the “economics of today” had led to the decision.

Hosts Sally Obermeder and Ryan Phelan will leave the network.

The Daily Edition has five episodes left

This is so sad – having worked with many of the producers and Sally, it’s a sad loss for a very talented team. Hopefully they will come back strong in other roles.
