Seven dominates thanks to X Factor and Peter Allen as The Biggest Loser struggles on return
The return of Seven’s singing competition The X Factor grabbed 1.506m metro viewers in the 7pm time slot last night, making it the most-watched show of the evening and helping Seven claim a win with an audience share of 31.6 per cent.
The X Factor was up on last year’s debut when it was watched by 1.226m, and kick started a good night for Seven, with part one of its much-vaunted miniseries Peter Allen – Not the Boy Next Door at 8.40pm getting 1.333m metro viewers.
While on Ten, the return of TBL Families, the latest season of The Biggest Loser franchise, only managed to draw 646,000 metro viewers in the 7.30pm timeslot, down on last year’s season launch of 753,000, while Nine’s The Block, airing from 7pm to 8.30pm, was watched by 1.037m metro viewers, down on last week’s debut audience of 1.074m.
Geez, Seven needed this. Re TBL, if it manages to keep those numbers, I think Ten will be happy
