Seven ends relationship with controversial TV chef Pete Evans

Seven has ended its relationship with controversial ‘health guru’ and celebrity chef Pete Evans.

Mumbrella understands the split, first reported by TV Blackbox, was amicable, with Evans leaving to focus on other ventures. He will still appear in some episodes of Seven programs that have already been filmed but it’s understood he will not take part in any further filming.

It isn’t yet known what the plan is for the 2021 season of My Kitchen Rules which Evans hosts alongside Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel. The 2020 season already saw a change in the format with Evans acting as an impartial judge between team leaders Fassnidge and Feildel. It’s understood Evans’ MKR contract was worth $800,000.
