Seven News wins most watched program of night ahead of Big Bash clash

Not a single program hit 900,000 viewers in OzTAM’s preliminary overnight ratings, on a quiet summer Thursday, with Seven news dominating the night ahead of Ten’s Big Bash battle.

Seven News had an audience of 886,000 viewers at 6:00pm and 820,000 viewers at 6:30pm, while channel Nine’s News programs attracted audiences of 792,000 and 777,000, respectively.

Ten’s Big Bash League clash between the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Thunder was the most watched non-news program of the night, with 800,000 viewers tuning in to session two and 761,000 viewers watching session one.
