24: Live Another Day fails to deliver audience as Seven edges closer to Nine

Ten’s audience share fell below double digits again as big US import 24: Live Another Day again failed to deliver an audience and MasterChef struggled against its reality rivals.

Seven’s overall Monday night share inched closer to that of rival Nine, with the best outing so far for House Rules and Seven News taking it to 23.8 per cent, while The Voice continued its stellar performance delivering Nine a total share of 25.5 per cent.

The Voice was the most watched show for Monday night, with 1.684m metro viewers tuning in at 7.35 pm while 1.487m metro viewers watched House Rules on Seven in the same timeslot. The two shows were the most watched shows across people aged 16 – 39, 18 – 49 and 25 – 54 with Nine’s double-billing offer of The Big Bang theory the third and fourth most watched shows across all the age groups.

Ten’s MasterChef struggled as it went head to head with The Voice and House Rules, only managing a total metro audience of 748,000. Ten only managed an audience share of 9.1 per cent, beaten by ABC1 which boasted an audience share of 14.4 per cent according to the OzTam preliminary overnight metro ratings.
