Seven reveals Olympics broadcast team, confirms event will go ahead despite coronavirus fears
Seven has unveiled its broadcast team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, confirming it currently still plans for the event to go ahead despite fears of cancellation over the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Two of Australia’s greatest Olympians, Ian Thorpe and Anna Meares, will form part of the team covering the event which will be broadcast over 43 dedicated channels across Seven, 7Two and 7Plus.

Seven’s Olympic commentary team features new and returning personalities
I hope Seven have a back up plan. Understand the need to present a confidence around this event going ahead to the market, but if they actually believe this is going to go ahead, they are completely delusional. If some small miracle happens and it does happen as planned, it won’t be at the usual scale. Seven are going to be in a world of pain.
Have to say that as I walk past the Big Brother House in Manly, I wonder how many viewers will now want to watch a series about a group of people self-isolating. Could be a grim year for C7.
It won’t go ahead.
The hubris of these people.
