Seven to bring back The Farmer Wants a Wife

Seven has commissioned a new season of reality dating format The Farmer Wants a Wife with a casting call placed up today asking for applicants.

The show ran for nine seasons on Nine before being cancelled in 2016.

Initially commissioned in 2007 by Nine from Fremantle Media, based on the UK format Farmer Wants a Wife, the show was hosted by Getaway presenter Natalie Gruzlewski. Eight seasons ran, until 2012, with Gruzlewski at the helm, before the show was retired until 2015 when a ninth season was announced to be hosted by singer Sam McClymont. The show was cancelled after the ninth season.
