Seven unable to use Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston in Plate of Origin marketing
Seven has had to market Plate of Origin, it’s new cooking format, without the names of ex-Masterchef judges Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston following a contract issue which prevents the two from promoting work inside their non-compete clause with Ten.
As first reported by TV Tonight, the snag comes despite the fact the two, and co-host Manu Feildel, were all used to promote the program to media during Seven’s upfronts event in composite images.

I said it all Ten let Gary and Matt move on and get over it.
James Warburton seems to have a lot of confusion about non compete clauses which snag Seven and Ten!
I don’t believe Masterchef will last without the old Hosts, they were “Masterchef” as far as i am concerned, all three together were exceptional.
I have watched master chef from the beginning couldn’t wait for it to return each season i will not be watching master chef again cant stand melissa leong
MasterChef will last one more series and then fizzle into a burnt butter infusion of weak Tv hosted by comparative wannabes. This will be the last season and 10 have dropped the saucepan (ball) on this one.
7’s POO in the poo.
Masterchef has lost its credibility since the trio left and the replacements are not in the same league. TV is the poorer.
