Seven unable to use Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston in Plate of Origin marketing

Seven has had to market Plate of Origin, it’s new cooking format, without the names of ex-Masterchef judges Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston following a contract issue which prevents the two from promoting work inside their non-compete clause with Ten.

As first reported by TV Tonight, the snag comes despite the fact the two, and co-host Manu Feildel, were all used to promote the program to media during Seven’s upfronts event in composite images.
