Seven wins again, ABC bleeds audience share after Jonah from Tonga final bombs
The ABC has continued to lose audience share, dropping under 10 per cent last night with just 8.4 per cent of overall viewers.
The broadcaster’s flagship program of the evening, Chris Lilley’s Jonah from Tonga at 9.30pm dropped audience again, shedding 43,000 viewers on last week with just 246,000 viewers for the series final of the series, which was offered as a “box set” online before the series began, last night.
Seven won the night with 27.7 percent of overall audience after House Rules in the 7.30pm time slot topped the ratings again with 1.527 million viewers. Home and Away also moved up to place sixth overall after drawing 1.009 million viewers.
However, Seven’s new comedy, The Goldbergs at 9.30pm, fell back from it’s debut high last week of 869,000 viewers to just 700,000.
Jonah from Tonga was Funny as a Fart in a Spacesuit.
It deserved to bomb.
Jonah from Tonga should never have happened after Lilley’s last car crash Jaime. His writing is weak and his humour non-existent.
