Seven wins the night but Nine wins the demos with repeat of The Big Bang Theory

Big bang theory top non news showA repeat episode of The Big Bang Theory on Nine at 8pm was last night’s most watched non-news program, attracting an audience of 931,000, building on the 7.30pm audience which tuned in for a first repeat of The Big Bang Theory of 848,000.

With non-ratings period programming getting into full swing the 8pm repeat was the most popular show across all the demographics, but was not enough for Nine to claim victory overall for the night with Seven winning the night with an audience share of 21.1 per cent while Nine settled for a share of 18.8 per cent.

The ABC and Ten lagged behind, with the ABC just beating Ten with a share of 11.8 per cent while Ten managed a share of 11.6 per cent according to OzTam overnight metro ratings.

Seven’s most watched non-news show was Home and Away at 7pm which pulled an audience of 892,000, while Family Feud was Ten’s strongest non-news performer with an audience of 559,000 at 6pm.
