Seven wins the night as Ten’s Masterchef and Shark Tank perform well across the demos

MasterchefMasterchef was watched by 948,000 metro viewers at 7:30pm last night to be the most-watched non-news show of the evening.

The cooking reality program, which was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54), easily out-rated its reality rival Seven’s House Rules, which pulled in 834,000 at 7:30pm.

Both shows beat Nine’s David Attenborough’s The Hunt, which at 7:30pm drew a metro audience of 633,000.

Seven won the night with an audience share of 19.5% ahead of Nine’s share of 16.8%. Ten wasn’t too far behind with a share of 16.4%, while the ABC settled for a share of 11.8%.
