Seven’s brand funded show Air Rescue returns strongly helping the channel win the night

air rescueWestpac’s brand-funded show Air Rescue made a solid return to screens for a third season on Channel Seven last week, grabbing 579,000 metro viewers.

While that number is down on the debut of its second season, which managed 629,000 viewers according to OzTam overnight metro ratings, it was up on the end of that season which had 471,000 viewers.

It was second in its 8pm timeslot behind ABC’s QI, which had 647,000 viewers.

News once again topped the evening with Seven completing a double over Nine, with 948,000 at 6pm and 917,000 at 6.30pm, compared to Nine’s 843,000 and 801,000 in those slots.
