Seven’s First Dates adds more than 100,000 viewers on last week, drawing 978,000
Seven’s new reality dating program appears to be gaining traction, with audiences lifting more than 100,000 viewers week-on-week to record a metro audience of 978,000 in the 9:00pm slot last night.
The result was up from the 877,000 viewers it pulled last week and 874,000 on season debut.
Once again First Dates’ audience was boosted by a strong lead in from My Kitchen Rules at 7:30pm, which was also up on last week, with an audience of 1.689m – up 145,000 viewers on last week.
Nine’s The Big Bang Theory and Ten’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! were both down marginally on last week, with a new episode of The Big Bang Theory posting 789,000 compared with 813,000 last week, and I’m a Celebrity posting 688,000 compared with 691,000 a week ago.
Smart little commission from 7. Tonally very different to The Bachelor and as it has more heart, it could potentially tire Ten’s format before they can get to air.
