Seven’s My Kitchen Rules gains ratings momentum
Seven’s My Kitchen Rules is gaining ground on Nine’s Monday night leader Two and a Half Men.
Two and a Half Men was the second-most watched show with 1.424 million viewers, behind Seven News with 1.495 million, according to overnight preliminary OzTam data in the five main metropolitan markets.
But following closely behind was Seven’s new cooking show MKR, launched to rival Ten’s MasterChef. It attracted 1.408 million viewers, which was ahead of the 1.2 million it had the previous Monday, when Two and a Half Men led the ratings race with 1.4 million viewers. However, the week prior to that, MKR led the night with 1.471 million, ahead of Two and a Half Men with 1.326 million.
Last night, MKR was also the most watched-show among 16-39s and 24-54 year old viewers.
Can someone explain the draw to this show? The chefs are so wooden, the directing so unexciting.. every time its on i find my thoughts wandering and look for the remote.
Even the food isnt anything special as its just ordinary meals (for the most part) with a bit of garnish..
Everything is very laboured and it bores the shit out of me basically.
I agree its the most boring show on tv WHY is everyone watching it.I cannot stand it and do not understand why so many poeple are tuning in.
Just like to say how much I enjoy the show, but disappointed that my dvd failed to record Tuesday 2nd March show. Have been looking for it on the internet but cannot locate. Please help. I need to watch it…..
