Seven’s news and current affairs strong over Easter break

The Easter long weekend saw little change among viewing for the main TV channels’ news and current affairs programs last night, with Seven seeing a rise in audience figures compared to the previous Monday.

Seven News and Today Tonight were the most-watched shows with over 1.4m and 1.37m viewers respectively, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data for the main metro markets.

Among the younger 16-39 and 18-49 demographics, Nine’s Two and Half Men and The Big Bang Theory also remained on top, despite the broadcast of repeat episodes.
