Seven’s Olympics coverage dominates as Usain Bolt helps Seven break streaming record
Seven’s Rio Olympics coverage has continued to dominate viewing habits, with the network’s 7:00pm wrap In Rio Today the most-watched non-news show with a metro audience of 1.051m.
The day coverage, which kicked off at 9:00am, saw an average of 588,000 tune in for the men and women’s athletics finals as well as the men’s pole vault finals with beach volleyball also taking place. Usain Bolt’s win in the 100m men’s final helped Seven break its streaming record, with a peak streaming audience of 369,000 tuning in for the race at 11:30am.

While on broadcast TV 1.301 million were viewing at 11:30 am, rising to 1.323 million at 11:33 am. The 588,000 is the average of all the ‘morning’ minutes.
