Sharri Markson joins The Daily Telegraph as national political editor
Former media editor for The Australian Sharri Markson is joining The Daily Telegraph as national political editor.
Markson was appointed media editor in February 2014, and was noted for her aggressive pursuit of stories involving the ABC, Fairfax Media and was the journalist who broke the story around Fairfax columnist Mike Carlton’s abusive tweets to members of the Jewish community, which eventually led to him leaving the company.
However she was shifted into a senior writing role with the national broadsheet in November last year, with Darren Davidson taking over the media editor position.
We’ll, that will drive the quality up.
Hilarious.
Is that really Sharri Markson as she looks now – or is that photo 10 years old? It looks like something you’d post on social media. With the levels of experience described in the article, if that’s a genuine photo of her today, she’d have to have been 12 when she first started her journalism career!
Hi Sharri
I was wondering if you could fill me in or direct me to the story in the Daily Telegraph some time back about cheap house for health workers such as nurses and Ambulance workers.
I only got the first page and not the second where the story was continued.
I would appreciate if you could help me out.
Many Thanks
Anne.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has been following Julie Bishops career as I have for the last ten years and more. I was always under the impression that her plans have always involved her becoming Prime Minister. I believe (not accusing) that most of the sharp objects in question were wielded by her and Pyne. Whispers, suggestions and behind the scenes manipulations is what has been bringing the Nat/Lib party leaders to their demise. I believe if her dreams come true it will be the to the destruction of the Lib/Nat party and the downfall of Turnbull. Lets hope these men wake up to themselves. It is not the leader of the Lib/Nats that is the immediate problem, it’s the party themselves. Dutton won’t last, the treasurer has already said he won’t support his ideas (No GST on Power). They must keep Turnbull and work together, (as if.) Worse than a bunch of schoolkids.
