Shiine Media drives rooftop rideshare OOH growth across WA

Shiine Media is seeing growing demand for its rooftop rideshare digital OOH network across Perth, as advertisers tap into its mobile, geofenced inventory around major events and nightlife precincts. The company is expanding partnerships, reporting capabilities and exploring growth beyond Western Australia.

The announcement:

As advertisers chase attention around major events, nightlife and high-movement precincts, Perth-based rooftop rideshare operator Shiine Media is seeing rising demand for mobile digital OOH that moves with the audience.

Shiine Media launched in Perth in 2024 and was co-founded in 2024. The company operates rideshare vehicles fitted with rooftop LED panels that can be programmatically activated and geofenced.

Unlike fixed digital formats, rooftop rideshare inventory shifts with demand.

“Static OOH owns the location. Rideshare owns the moment. When demand spikes around events or nightlife, the inventory naturally concentrates there. Ubers go where people are! Always putting your brand in the spotlight.”

Network and format

Shiine Media currently operates 20 rideshare vehicles fitted with 40 rooftop LED panels across Perth. Campaigns can be day-parted and location-based using geofencing, allowing delivery to focus around key events and target specific audiences.

Recent advertiser activity

Recent clients have included TABtouch, McDonald’s and AirAsia, alongside other national and WA-based advertisers.

TABtouch activated across 25 key sporting events in Perth during the spring and summer calendar. The 30-day campaign delivered:

• 1,197,119 impressions
• 332,187 unique reach
• 3.6x frequency

Delivery concentrated around peak sporting moments, creating repeated exposure in the hours leading into and following events, with reporting designed to provide transparency on where and when activity ran.

Supplier partnership with Helio

Shiine Media inventory is available via Helio, a marketplace-style booking platform familiar to many east coast agencies and advertisers. Shiine said listing through Helio makes it easier for national buyers to include WA activity using an established booking workflow. Helio manages booking and delivery, with campaign parameters and reporting provided by Insiight Analytics.

Expansion

Shiine Media is assessing opportunities to expand beyond Western Australia, with additional Australian metro markets under consideration. The company said any expansion would focus on maintaining consistent reporting across markets both direct and programmatically, while building the operational capacity required to scale the fleet. Shiine is also continuing to invest in its data and reporting capability as it prepares for broader national demand.
