Shine Australia sets eyes on drama production with another INXS story
Shine Australia looks to be making the move from reality and factual entertainment to scripted drama with a mini-series around late INXS singer Michael Hutchence.
The four-hour project – reportedly commissioned by Seven – is the third currently in the works around the famed singer who died in 1997.
Shine, which is also behind reality series The Voice, Masterchef and The Biggest Loser, declined to comment.
Why would they film this in Melbourne?
It’s cheaper to film in melbourne than sydney. Much cheaper. Second unit can do sydney stock shots.
Yes, I realise that it’s cheaper to film in Melbourne. But despite that fact, there’s still a lot of film & TV produced in Sydney. I thought there may have been another reason.
