What a suprise, the factions of 18c and their supporters ( I am not one of them) have again got their way on what they perceive to be poor television comments ,what is going on ? perhaps Harmers comment might have been a bit strong but why does everyone keep getting upset at the slightest bit of non political correctness. The best and most honest political current affairs programme on television. It beats Andrew Bolt and Paul Murray hands down. It shows how pathetic we have become that it has been axed because of a few indolent comments. Time to close up Sky New and get something better.

I would dearly like to comment on the outrageous axing of “The Outsiders”.

However, , I hesitate to risk “insulting or offending” anyone. Until those two very subjective words are quantified, I think I will keep my thoughts private.

It is a sad, sad day for the country and another victory for the precious lunatic fringe.

Guess they might be in danger of having their fragile sense of self worth harmed.

I don’t suppose we could get rid of “Insiders” to keep the balance?

Sky should rejig Outsiders to remove the personal attacks on individuals but continue to focus and comment on all those issues that the ABC and Fairfax so studiously avoid.

So much for freedom of speech, this was the only show worth watching on Sunday, now i suppose we have to put up with all the mundane, boring commentators, feeding us the usual un-entertaining bullshit.

The fact that some needed to remain anonymous when leaving a comment on this site says a lot. Everyone is so scared to say anything contrary to the politically correct line. For those who hated Latham and the Outsiders – simply switch channels as the rest of us have. Instead, it has been deemed nevesssry to censor, axe, gag ANYONE who opposes the PC brigade. This is the problem when you mixing up left and right presenters and a PC management like we now have on Sky News. Why.cannot the right wing form its own TV station, then, you do not need to worry about the Politically Correct and can say it like it is,which is human natural way . .However, looking around the world, when the leftist do not agree with you, they either sack you from your job or take to the streets to riot and set fires ,burning shops and cars etc and of course you must stone the police. In future I shall watch channels 7 and 9 free to air for local news and the outstanding channel RT on Foxtel.

Mark Latham did sometimes make some personal comments about people which I felt were a bit mean and just unnecessary. This gave his detractors ammunition to use against him and the show. Unfortunately and predictably, this overshadowed all the important information and discussion which so many of us looked forward to each week. Australia needs a show like the ‘Outsiders’. These three guys did the vital research to find out the facts about issues which affect all of us. They provided balanced reporting.

We have a right to hear what they have to say. Taking them off the air proves what they have been saying all along; that ‘free speech’ is becoming an endangered right in Australia.

Why not just reprimand Mark Latham for being too personal and let him and the others get back to doing what they do so well on the ‘Outsiders’.

Mr Frangopolis, I am disappointed in your termination of Mark Latham and consequential ‘RECESS’ of Outsiders based on the hysteria of those easily offended by ‘Freedom of Speech’ without regard to the entertainment aspect appreciated by a majority of the audience. This is evidenced by ‘Minority Rule’. If Mark Latham’s remarks conflicted with your programming criteria, a constructive conversation with Mark and his subsequent public apology would have been a Managerial tactic you appeared to have failed to implement. It’s not too late to reverse your decision and support the majority of your audience. I have moved my allegiance from ABC to Sky not expecting the intrusion of excessive political correctness.

the best current affairs show on TV. you have 3 very intelligent men, who research their subject extremely well and look for the truth. I have difficulty coming to terms with the fact they have been put off air. The people they have been alleged to say unkind things about are not backward in saying despicable things about them. We need to be afraid of where this is all going.

We were disappointed to see Mark Latham sacked & Outsiders cancelled as it was a program which we enjoyed & mostly reflected our thinking.
After 55 years of regularly viewing the ABC we now rarely view it’s biased programs.
We now seem to live in a country unduly influenced by the noisy minority & a number of corrupt unions & not the silent majority with many politicians expressing self interested views they know to be untrue for their own benefit not their Country. Many voters seem too Ill informed or disinterested to know the difference
We presently continue to survive in spite of but not because of these People but in due course the Nation will pay a heavy price for their behaviour

This unannounced axing of the Outsiders show is tragic news. Yet another capitulation in favour of the marxist storm troopers and their allied 5th column undermining our society, this time by the newly-minted snowflakes of sky news. As Foxtel now becomes a labour-light truth-free zone (Bolt excepted), my subscription will also not be renewed.

Bring back the Outsiders with all three of it’s original presenters.

I had concerns Sky News was moving to the left, when the hard right men are absent the panel shows fill up with lefties green types. I waited in anticipation for the outsiders, we at least had one show that did not stealthily try to brainwash us with fake news or no news. We needed the magnificent three they stood out in a putrid sea of political correct, green left mediocrity.

I can’t help thinking that the outsiders demise is down to Sky News being too dependent on commercial advertising revenue. Although it’s subscription TV there’s no less advertising than there is on a FTA channel.
If it was a genuine subscription-only news channel, Latham might still be there telling it like it is, and subscriptions would be on the rise.

It’s such a blight on our society that corporations are now so scared of organised malicious attacks from radical leftists that they’re now pretending to be part of the PC-Left.

I did not expect Sky to be so weak – shocked! So now our “news” channel is giving up and caving in to their rivals, their competition now tell them what to do. How crazy. Guess I’ll show my disgust by not having lunch when PVO and CK are on weekdays. Never really liked the toddlers anyway, so won’t miss them like I will miss Mark, Ross and Rowen. The biggest thing I object to is that hideous cliche about the ‘silent majority’, and lines like ‘he says what we’re all thinking’. Guess what – you’re most definitely not the majority! This is fringe stuff. Just like Barnaby Joyce suggested in relation to 18C – a fringe issue, with the people who want it changed being very ‘passsionate’ about it, but there’s only 4 of them. Australia is, mostly, a centrist country. Most Aussies just want a sensible and competent government, and don’t give a toss about the culture wars. It is also possible to have important discussions about immigration policy, for example, without resorting to a total lack of civility and respect. We are a civil society and we must remain that way. So no, if you’re a big Latham fan you are not in the majority. Heck, if you’re a Donald Trump fan in America you’re not even in the majority based on the popular vote, and America is much further to the right than Australia.

Looks like Mumbrella has been trolled by the team formerly known as Offsiders. If only that terrible show had rated more than 1/20th that of Insiders, it might’ve have survived. This program was the best show on Foxtel. Mark Latham should be reinstated immediately; he was the best Prime Minister Australia never had and there are few commentators with his honesty. The management who made this decision are the ones who should be sacked. As the Foxtel Management including Spears et Al seems to support political correctness, I also ask that that lightweight Kristina Kenneally be asked to apologise to the horse racing industry for her comments made about horses being forced to compete. She obviously knows nothing on how the industry operates so if she doesn’t know she should keep her mouth shut. I was deeply offended by her remarks.
