Wow – congratulations to the Sleeping Beauty team, that’s pretty awesome to be selected for Cannes.
Trailer looks really good too!
Looks very intriguing…
Just when I thought ‘Heartbeat’ was the worst film of the year…
Girl gets raped by creep old man while asleep and has no memory of the event the next day. Every pedophile’s dream. And extra points for naming it a child’s fairytale.
Micheel- so what do you want to see?
I’m with Amitra. It looks more creepy than “sexy” (which is how some Oz critics have described this trailer), and reminds me more of Hostel in concept than any of the other arthouse comparisons being thrown around
C’mon guys – this looks WAY more interesting than most of the Aussie films released in the the last two years (except Red Hill and Animal Kingdom, which were great).
Some might say “A Heartbeat Away on crack”…but not me. Seriously I think its looks like a really fascinating film..well done on getting into Canne. When’s the release date?
Dean, your field of vision is far too narrow. What about The Horseman, Balibo, Samson & Delilah, Triangle, The Waiting City, Lake Mungo, Van Diemen’s Land…
As for this year? Snowtown, Red Dog, Hail, Here I Am, X, The Tunnel…
I’m looking forward to hearing more about Sleeping Beauty once it hits Cannes. The trailer is great.
“More tiresome than anything” Variety
Certainly looks as pretentious as everyone is saying.
“Two hours of my life that I will never see back.”

Drinking game anyone?
Jello shots on:
“career launch”
“distinctive voice”
“unique vision”
Doubles for “no-one knows anything” or “creative risk”
Take the bottle and go home: “brave”
