Soap stars reunited for Qantas campaign for Dallas route
M&C Saatchi has secured two of the former stars of 80s American soap Dallas for a print and poster campaign for Qantas’ new direct service to the Texan city.
Larry Hagman – who played JR Ewing – and Linda Gray – Sue Ellen Ewing – feature in the campaign which launches this weekend.
Isn’t Larry Hagman dead?
Qantas are also going to be renaming their Qantas Club in Dallas “Southfork Ranch”. Miss Ellie will welcome you at the reception of the lounge, and Sue Ellen will poor you a drink at the Bar.
Love the idea.
Larry Hagman is alive and kicking and is 79 years old!
I’ll confess I was more of a Knots Landing fan than Dallas back in the day.
But God love any ad with a Ewing.
Fun way of spinning something that’s actually very annoying. So they don’t fly to San Fran any more.
LAX or Dallas. The two worst airports in the USA.
Thanks a lot Qantas.
Brilliant idea, love it
I just with they would get rid of John Travolta on the domestic flights, if I hear “this is your pilot speaking…. “ from him one more time I just might run screaming for the exit.
@ Ben – I think you’ll find that’s Bob Katter.
And for their next trick – Kevin Bacon does a Hans Bacon TVC, Tom Cruise does a cruise line ad and the complete cast of Magnum reunites to sell ice creams…..
@ Ben – no he just looks that way
@ TB – no he’s just brain dead
Love the ad! Too cute for words! I ADORE Linda and Larry, they are so fabulous!!
ALWAYS KNEW QANTAS HAD CLASS.
what doesthat mean?
