Soccer – the great leveller
For sport lovers, here’s an ad from the UK that makes a refreshing change from the usual focus on the elite:
Indeed, ‘Find Your level” is all the better when you compare it to this Nike ad – ‘Take it To The Next Level’ from a year ago:
The first ad was made by London digital agency Dare, while the original was directed by Guy Ritchie and made by US agency 72 And Sunny.
I’d say its wholly reliant on you having seen the original work, given that it mimics pretty much everything about it.
Kind of like applauding Weird Al Yankovich.

Sure, it’s a great ad… and football is a great leveler… though they have managed to leave out half the population so it’s hardly a level view of the sport. Just sayin’
Danielle you raise a very valid point- hopefully if we were to do anything like that over here we would really showcase that the ‘beautiful game’ isn’t just played by blokes.
Fastest growing sport over here among ALL kid’s
Indeed Kevin! And not just kids, I have my grand final on Sunday and everyone in my team is over 30 😉
Let us know how you get on and good luck for the final

If you were in the UK at the time (and at all into football) the Guy Ritchie ad would have definitely rocked your boat.
I have a feeling several players were offside when the free kick was taken.
Kevin – thanks for the Park Life Nike reminder. An absolute cracker of an ad. I remember first seeing it and still remember it. Class stuff.
Nike continue to do some great work and are probably one of the few Brands who really get their consumers. “Today was a good day” with P. Rod and Ice Cube is right up there with understanding their audience.
And very well worth looking at the new ESPN ad for the EPL in the UK.
Voiced by Boys from the Blackstuff actor Bernard Hill and created by Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam. With the classic line: “I shall stand tall like a polyester beacon of hope…!”
No surprise to see it’s a good one as these guys produce the Nike Soccer ads.
