SoHo channel launch to be led by The Newsroom

Foxtel has begun the one month countdown to the relaunch of its drama channel W as SoHo by confirming Aaron Sorkin drama The Newsroom as its headline series.

Sorkin created the West Wing and wrote The Social Network. The Newsroom, produced by HBO, features Jeff Daniels as a BlackBerry-throwing news anchor.

SoHo will feature mainly US and Uk drama, along with next year’s reboot of Prisoner Cell Block H, Wentworth.
