Skins launches campaign with Marvel Comics artist
A new print and digital campaign for a compression sportswear launches today with artwork by a Marvel Comics artist.
Jean Sebastien Rossbach’s illustration for the brand Skins promotes the new range of men’s shorts, drawing rugby league’s Johnathan Thurston, AFL’s Tom Rockliff and rugby union’s Matt Toomua as comic book heroes.
The campaign was created by M&C Saatchi’s Sport and Entertainment division to run across sports-related webpages and magazines.
It draw parallels between comic book superheroes and sports stars, with the ground below the footballers exploding underfoot.
Unleash what’s in your power shorts. hehehe
Looks awesome! Congrats team SKINS!!
“lock and load”
you must be kidding, copywriters.
Wow completely under utilised that talent. what a pity.
Errr those “heroes” definitely aren’t drawn… it’s more of a photomontage. Has illustration gotten into such a poor state that you can’t tell what’s a photo and what involves drawing?
I agree NS – completely overwritten – and the tag is very Anthony Robbins (unleash the giant within)… juniorburgerish
And quite right KS – I woulda rather seen the true comic book drawn version
