Stable night for TV with Recipe to Riches and Dancing holding, but Big Brother down again

TV audiences fell back to earth with a bang after the highs of last week’s Melbourne Cup coverage, with no show managing to pull more than a million viewers, OzTam’s overnight metro ratings show.

Seven won the evening courtesy of Home and Away being the most-watched non-news show with 887,000 viewers at 7pm, and Dancing with the Stars at 7.30pm which picked up a handful of viewers from last week with 886,000 tuning in for two hours.

Ten’s show with Woolworths Recipe to Riches also held its own in the 7.30pm slot with 523,000, down from 545,000 last week, but it was beaten by Nine’s David Attenborough’s Life which had 583,000 viewers and 7.30 and Kitchen Cabinet which got 637,000 and 544,000 from 7.30pm for ABC.
