Stan signs deal with Viacom to round out content library with kids’ shows
Nine Entertainment Co and Fairfax Media’s joint venture Stan has announced a content licensing agreement with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) that will see a number of children’s shows added to Stan’s content library.
The news follows Stan signing content deals with CBS Studios and BBC Worldwide earlier this month, a deal with MGM which saw the platform secure the streaming rights to Fargo and a deal with SBS which sees its World Movies content available on the platform.
Stan will host a selection of shows from Nickelodoen, Nick Jr., MTV and Comedy Central including animated shows SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Live action shows such as iCarly, VICTORiOUS and Drake & Josh and pre-school titles like Dora the Explore, Ni Hao, Kai-Lan and Bubble Guppies will further round out the catalogue.
Stan certainly sounds like a more comprehensive offering than Presto at this stage, although Netflix hasn’t shown it’s cards yet.

might be some more news off the back of that.
