Stan’s chief marketing officer to depart

The chief marketing officer of Stan, Diana Ilinkovski, will depart after a decade at the streaming service.

Stan’s chief executive officer Martin Kugeler shared the news of Ilinkovski’s departure in an email to staff on Monday, seen by Mumbrella.

The email reads that while Ilinkovski will finish in the office as of Monday, she will be available for handover arrangements.

In a statement to Mumbrella, a Stan spokesperson confirmed her resignation.

“Stan can confirm that Diana Ilinkovski has resigned from her position as CMO to spend time with her family,” the statement reads.

“Stan will soon commence a recruitment process.”

Ilinokvski echoed the statement, and told Mumbrella after a decade she looks forward to spending some time with her family, before “exploring new opportunities in 2025”.

Ilinkovski joined Stan in 2014 ahead of its launch into market as a marketing comms manager. She moved into the head of brand, creative and comms role in 2016, before stepping into a marketing director position in 2019. In 2021, she was promoted to chief marketing officer.

Ilinkovski’s team – including director of brand and creative David Griffiths, director of growth and GTM Michelle Chandran, and head of comms Kathryn Browne – will report directly to Kugeler while recruitment for a new CMO gets underway.

Her departure comes less than a week after Nine’s annual Upfront event, where the media giant announced plans to introduce advertising to Stan Sport.

They will not be lowering the subscription price for sporting fans which is a minor blow for fans, but for Nine’s advertisers, it is a win.
