Starcom appoints Toby Barbour client services director

Media agency Starcom has appointed Toby Barbour as its client services director .

The announcement: 

Starcom today bolstered its ranks with highly experienced client-side marketer Toby Barbour, appointing him to the newly created role of Client Services Director.

Barbour will report to Starcom Sydney General Manager Sue Kallas and will work across the Samsung and Optus business for the agency.

Kallas said Barbour is joining at an exciting time for the agency and its clients as they transform their business.

“We look forward to applying Toby’s experience in technology and digital innovation across two of our most dynamic and transformative clients in the Sydney office,” Kallas said.

Prior to joining Starcom, Barbour spent five years as General Manager Consumer Marketing at Sony Australia and held a variety of marketing roles at Olympus and Polaroid. Barbour was most recently GM of Sales and Innovation at Hourigan International.

Barbour said working on human experiences is what attracted him to the role.

“Starcom puts the human experience at the heart of everything it does and that’s what really excites me about this role – the engagement point with the consumer,” Barbour said.
