State of Origin and The Voice help Nine to a ratings week win

Wednesday night’s State of Origin and a good overall performance from The Voice has helped the Nine Network take an overall ratings win for survey week 15, holding 31% audience share and knocking Seven off a seven week winning streak.

Seven Network delivered an overall share of 29.1%, followed by 16.4% for Ten, 15.8% for ABC and 7.7% for SBS.

Claiming a ratings win based on the number of weeks won is irrelavant and a complete furphy. It’s the result is at the end of the year that counts.

It would be the equivalent of the NSW Blues saying they won the first State of Origin because they led for more minutes of the game. No, Queensland won 18-14 – end of story.
