Steve Jobs resigns as Apple CEO
Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple, the company has announced.
In a letter announcing his departure, he said he would remain as chairman:
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
Great succession planning and a dignified exit.
On a related note… I had a quick look at the Apple senior management team on Apple.com – not a woman amongst the lot. Come on Apple! At least they have a token female Director in the form of the CEO of Avon.
Wonder if Tim will also require that every piece of creative to go across his desk before approval? 🙂
