Sticky Pictures and Buster Dandy Productions merge
CEO Donna Andrews says the move will combine both companies’ expertise in animation and live-action projects, as they prepare a family-oriented sitcom and a new animation series.
The company will be based in Glebe, NSW, and operate under the Sticky Pictures brand, with Andrews as CEO, Stu Connolly as Head of Animation and Justine Flynn as Head of Live Action.
Andrews, who founded both Sticky Pictures (Pearlie, Dennis & Gnasher) with Connolly and Buster Dandy Productions (Blue Water High, Bambaloo, Five Minutes More) with Flynn, said that the original intention behind creating two separate companies was that each of them had a specific focus – animation and live action, respectively.
“We had two small companies, but it’s getting to a point where we’re building momentum and more projects are coming our way, so it made sense to combine them,” said Andrews.
