Despite a midnight kickoff, the SBS’ showing of the Sweden vs England World Cup match brought in 528,000 viewers for SBS in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The match also came top in key advertising demographics 25-54, 16-39, 18-49, according to OzTam’s overnight viewing figures.
However the World Cup was unable to knock Seven News off the top spot for the most-watched program of the evening, with 925,000 metro viewers.
