SWM shares fall again after shareholders vote for SCA merger

Despite a giant majority of Seven West Media shareholders today voting to merge with Southern Cross Austereo, the stock slumped on the ASX today.

The price of SWM shares fell 4% to to 12c – a low point only briefly hit during the early months of the 2020 Covid market panic. Seven’s market capitalisation dropped to $178m.

SCA also fell today, losing 1.2% to land on a market cap of $190m.

The companies’ combined market cap of just over $367m is down by 12% since they announced the merger in September.
