Sydney just holds off Melbourne as biggest radio market with metro stations adding $35m
The metropolitan commercial radio market grew $35m in the last financial years, buoyed by strong figures in June.
According to the figures sourced by Deloitte and released by Commercial Radio Australia today, metro radio stations saw advertising revenue of $732m for the year to June 30, up 5.06 per cent.
Brisbane had largest percentage growth adding an extra $8m on the previous year (up 7.07 per cent) to finish on $116.293m, while the extra $13m spent in the Melbourne market was the largest cash growth for the period.
