Sydney radio ratings: New 2Day FM breakfast show with Em, Grant and Ed sees 0.6 point share boost
2DayFM’s revived breakfast slot with Em Rusciano, Ed Kavalee and Grant Denyer boosted the station’s breakfast share by 0.6 points to 3.4%.
Although the 3.4% share was still behind other stations at breakfast, the show was the only FM breakfast slot – other than Smooth FM – to see an increase in share.

Any management that presides over 2 Sydney FM stations that deliver a share below 5% need to fall on their sword. Times up. no more excuses. Too many failed attempts in the biggest market in the country. SCA management needs to be held accountable by its shareholders

What’s with that headline guys? 2dayFM breakfast is a 3.4% share. any increase or decrease on that performance could be the result of one of their listeners changing their habits. Its not worthy of a headline.
Ed Kavalee is a star and the sole reason for the increase.
Grant Denyer is very likeable.
Em Rusciano is dreadful radio talent and when SCA management finally see the light and remove her from the show, the ratings scores will rapidly move up. Hopefully this will be sooner rather than later and Ed and Grant’s careers don’t get harpooned by association.
That’s funny though, because their show has the largest audience engagement levels on social media & did have before Ed and Grant. So they (Em specifically, who I’ll add has just sold out a national comedy tour) can’t be that shit.
Having a sold out national comedy tour doesn’t automatically mean that someone is good radio talent.
By that logic, if Kate Langbroek does a national comedy tour and it’s not a sellout, it means that Em is a better radio talent than Kate and that is clearly not the case.
Rove McManus might be one of the best TV producers in the country but that doesn’t make him good radio talent.
Despite what many comments before me say I personally happen to love Em Rusciano. Yes she is loud and yes she can sometimes be obnoxious, but she is no more obnoxious than any of you leaving comments about her. They have the biggest podcast listeners than any other radio show in the country.
If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. The world could do with more positive people.

Hi Karli. I’ve just had a look at the Australian iTunes Podcast charts for today. Unfortunately, your claim that Em, Ed and Grant “…have the biggest podcast listeners than any other radio show in the country” doesn’t seem to stack up.
