Sydney’s commercial radio sees October revenue drop on last year

Sydney’s commercial radio sector saw a decline in ad revenue for the month of October on last year, according to Commercial Radio Australia.

The 2011 Metropolitan Commercial Radio Advertising Revenue figures, sourced by Deloitte, show Sydney’s combined ad revenue dropped by 1.23% compared to October last year, to a total of $19,532m.

Sydney was the only city across the five-metro markets that was down.

In Perth, revenue was up by 8.91% on October 2010, to $8.662m. In Adelaide, growth was almost equally impressive, up by 8.615% to $5.98m. In Brisbane, revenue was up 2.08% to $10.408m, while in Melbourne it was up by 1.78% to $19.435m.
